The Journey to Healthy Curls
This is a commitment to the health of your hair. With the right tools and technique, your curls will thrive. Patience, a positive mindset, and consistent care will be key to your success.
Weekly, foundational haircare consists of:
Mid-to-long lengths: Start with a hydrating shampoo, use a detangling conditioner, and finish with stylers that enhance your curl type.
Shorter curls: Shampoo weekly + refresh mid-week by rinsing with conditioner and applying a styler.
Juicy, defined curls require investing in quality products, tools, and a hooded dryer, or handheld dryer with a diffuser attachment.
Straight naturals should cleanse with a hydrating shampoo, detangle with a nourishing conditioner, and finish with humidity-proof, frizz-taming, heat-protecting stylers.
Pre- Appointment Prep
To set us both up for success:
In the week prior to your visit: Use a hydrating shampoo + a conditioner with slip to detangle.
Skip heavy products: Avoid stylers that cause buildup.
Arrive detangled: Hair should be dry + detangled, and in no more than two braids or twists.
Important: Excessively tangled hair will incur a $65 detangling fee. Normal detangling is included.
During Your Appointment
At your appointment, we’ll review foundational haircare education and address any questions you have. Curly cut and color clients receive online aftercare resources, and all new clients receive a personalized product summary.
After Your Appointment: Cut Maintenance
Mid-to-long lengths: Cut every 3 months
Short tapers: Cut every 6–8 weeks
In-between cuts: Book styling sessions + treatments

Thinking of color? A consultation is required for all color services, unless you're booking natural-looking (dark brown) grey coverage as an add-on service.
If you have experienced allergic reactions to color in the past, do not book this service.
